I'm back from Anime Expo and I had a really good time this year!!!

Day 1 - Thursday

Lisa and I carpooled over to the hotel and spent the rest of the day cruising the con in Lolita. We also walked right into the Moi dix Mois concert as it was starting and got good seats too. That rocked!!! No waiting whatsoever~~~~

Day 2 - Friday

PRETTY CURE DAY!!!! I wore Cure White, Lisa wore Cure Berry, and invaded the con with our supreme cuteness. We had a lovely photo shoot that afternoon in our costumes with raidr. His new GF is SOOOO CUTE!!!!! And just like the Moi dix Mois concert the day before, we walked right into the Morning Musume concert as it was starting with another set of good seats. ;oD Later on we met up with Yas, Ashley, and Wendy for a quick skit rehearsal and ihop + jacuzzi fun times.


Day 3 - Saturday

You know it, we spent most of the day taking care of masquerade shenanigans. The show ran very well this year and our skit went so smoothly. I'm exceptionally proud of Yas!!!!! Despite all of his whining and bitching, he came through in the end and did a fantastic job as Harlock!!!!! A big congrats and a pat on the back to Lisa, Ashley, Briana, Wendy, and Yas. Yay, we won 1st Place!!!! :oD



Day 4 - Sunday

After checking out the dealers room one more time and picking up two new Rilakuma plushies to terrorize Yas with, Lisa and I headed home. AX 2009 is a wrap!!

I had heard the news quite a while ago that the Little Tokyo Mitsuwa Mall was purchased by a Korean business and that changes were to come possibly, but I didn't realize how soon that would become. This morning, LA Times had this article up on their website:

Little Tokyo market, a onetime rising sun, is poised to set



Look at the empty shelves!!! It makes me so sad.......

On a good note though, the market will reopen next month with a wider variety of products and the entire mall is receiving a full make over, set for a grand opening in May. That will certainly be something to see...... I wonder what new shops will open, besides the Korean Spa on the 3rd floor....
